CYTOSAN™

Liver and immune health

Cytosan contains a unique formula designed for immune support and detoxification. It is a special blend of herbal extracts, probiotics, and zinc complexes that compliments each other for the maximum effect.

FUNCTIONS

Our immune system is our body’s main defense against infections and diseases caused by foreign substances such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It also works to protect us from infected cells and tumors. Without properly functioned immune system the results can be fatal. Around 70% of our immune system resides in the intestinal tract, so one of the most effective way to boost the immune system is by keeping the intestinal tract healthy. Probiotics in the form of Lactobacillus cell wall fragments helps epithelial tissue form a barrier against pathogenic microbes and other harmful substance [1]. Cytosan’s unique preparation also boosts various components of the innate and adaptive immune systems through controlling the coordination of the immune response through Th1 or Th2 pathways. In addition, it increases the activity of the NK-cells which accounts for the effectiveness in oncology diseases [2 , 3]. Taking Cytosan may be effective for IBS, IBD, food allergies, and atopic dermatitis[4, 5]. Oleanolic acid, an extract from herbal medicine, is a phytochemical with multiple health benefits such as liver protection and detoxification [6-8]. It is currently used for hepatitis treatment, but may have many other benefits and uses [9]. Research has shown that there are strong neuroprotective properties shown in experimental animal models, and some clinical studies indicate it might be beneficial for relieving symptoms such as epilepsy, depression and anxiety [10]. Oleanolic acid may be beneficial of delaying or reversing neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s diseases and diabetic neuropathy [11, 12]. Zinc is as essential mineral that plays an important role in many enzymatic functions. Zinc Picolinate is formed by the bonding of Zinc with Picolinic Acid. This special form of Zinc has a better absorption rate than many other forms [13, 14].

Cytosan is a useful dietary supplement for individuals to boost their immune function and support liver detoxification. It is neuroprotective and GI supportive.
